Lisletown was a Clark county community on the Athens-Boonesboro Road near the crossing of Lower Howards Creek, about 10 miles south of Winchester. The Lisletown name comes from the family of early settler John Lisle. A Sanger post office operated in the vicinity from 1894 to 1904. The origin of that name is unknown.
