Russell Springs, Kentucky
Russell Springs is a Russell county town on US 127 and the Cumberland Parkway about two miles north of Jamestown. It was known as Big Boiling Springs in the 1850s for a local resort. The date of incorporation is not known, but it was probably by about 1900. The Russell Springs post office opened in 1855 and closed in 1865. A Kimble post office opened in 1888 and was renamed Russell Springs in 1901. The population in 2010 was 2,441.
