Sewell Shop is a Clark county community on US 60 about nine miles east of Winchester on the boundary with Montgomery county. It was named for the blacksmith shop of Joseph Sewell, which operated there for more than a century. A Botts post office, named for another local family, operated from 1900 to 1901.
