Flatwoods, Kentucky
Flatwoods, the largest town in Greenup county, is located about seven miles southeast of Greenup on a hill above the Ohio River. Flatwoods was incorporated in 1932. An Advance post office operated in the area from 1892 to 1915 and a Cheap post office operated from 1918 until it was named Flatwoods in 1938. The population in 2010 was 7,423.
