Lackey, Kentucky
Lackey, Kentucky

Lackey is a Floyd county community at the mouth of Jones Fork on the Right Fork of Beaver Creek about 17 miles south of Prestonsburg and extending into Knott county. There was settlement in the early nineteenth century and the name probably comes from the local pioneer Lackey family.

Lackey was incorporated at one time, but was dissolved.

The Lackey post office opened in 1880.
