Lake Louisvilla, Kentucky
Lake Louisvilla is a Oldham county community about 12 miles southwest of La Grange on the boundary with Jefferson county and Louisville. It developed as a vacation area around a lake with a hotel and summer houses circa 1920. The hotel burned later in the 1920s and the area eventually became a residential suburb. The lake, which was suffering from pollution problems, was drained in the 1980s because of a failing dam.
Lake Louisvilla was incorporated in 1954 and dissolved in 1972.
