Mistletoe is in Clark county on Ecton Pike (KY 1960) about two miles east of Winchester. It was a stop on the Kentucky Union Railway at mile 23. It was named by the railroad for the plant, which is found in the area. It was originally known as Ecton and was later called Glenarvon, named for a town in Scotland.
