Mullins Station, Kentucky
Mullins Station was a Rockcastle county community about eight miles east of Mount Vernon. It was named for a local family and was a station on the Louisville and Nashville Railroad.
A Withers post office opened there 1886 and closed in 1951. It was named for the first postmaster.
A few miles northeast of Mullins Station is the Great Saltpetre Cave, which was mined for saltpeter in the early nineteenth century. It is now owned and managed by the Rockcastle Karst Convervancy.
