Nepton, Kentucky Nepton, Kentucky

Nepton is in Fleming county about five miles west of Flemingsburg, northeast of Ewing where the railroad crosses Johnson Creek. It was established as Elizaville Station, for nearby Elizaville, on the Maysville and Lexington Railroad. The post office and community were named Nepton for the station agent's daughter Penelope. Nepton was incorporated in 1886, but was later dissolved. The Nepton post office operated from 1881 to 1958.
