Yarnallton, Kentucky

Yarnallton is a western Fayette county community on the Town Branch on the northwest of Lexington. At the end of the new Lexington and Ohio Railroad's first segment, at what was known as Villa Grove and later the Villa House tavern, Isaac Yarnall opened the Yarnallton post office in 1844. It operated until 1850. Another Yarnallton post office operated at Yarnall's Station from 1879 to 1917.
