Yatesville, Kentucky
Yatesville was a Lawrence county community on Blaine Creek about five miles northwest of Louisa. The area was also known as Hester Gap. A Compton post office opened in 1898, was renamed Yatesville the same year, and closed in 1958.
Just south of the community was the Yatesville covered bridge across Blaine Creek. It was a single-span Howe truss bridge constructed in 1907. It collapsed in high water in 1986. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
