Arnett was in Morgan county near Blackwater Creek about 13 miles west of West Liberty. The exact location is unclear. The area was known as Blackwater and there was a Blackwater railroad station. The postmaster was Charley Arnett.

The Arnett post office operated from 1907 to 1913.

There is also an Arnett in Owsley county.
