Burkes Spring (or Burks Spring) is a Marion county community about nine miles northwest of Lebanon and about three miles east of Loretto. The area is also known as Happy Hollow. The site has been the home of whiskey distilleries since the early nineteenth century and is currently the home of Maker's Mark.
