Cobhill, Kentucky
Cobhill is an Estill county community about 12 miles east of Irvine. Early nineteenth century settlers included the Cobb family, for whom the settlement was named, although with an altered spelling. In addition to farming, the area was involved with logging and mining to support the iron furnace at nearby Fitchburg.
The Cobhill post office opened in 1898 and closed in 1995.
