Davistown is a Woodford county community southeast of Midway. It originated sometime after the Civil War when a Mrs. Davis gave some land to Lou Guy, an African-American woman. A number of families lived in Davistown and it include a small school in the 1920s. It was also a stop on the railroad between Midway and Lexington.
