Equality, Kentucky
Equality is an Ohio county community about ten miles southwest of Hartford. It was originally a farming community but coal mining later became dominant. The name came from a local church. It was the site of the Kronos Station on the Louisville and Nashville Railroad. The source of that name is obscure. There was a ferry across the Green River just west of town.
The Equality post office opened in 1909 and closed in 1964.
