Hobbs, Kentucky
Hobbs is a Bullitt county community a few miles south of Shepherdsville. It was established before 1870 as a station on the Louisville and Bardstown Railroad known as Big Spring.
The Hobbs post office opened in 1886, closed in 1899, reopened in 1915, and closed in 1916.
Old Grand-Dad Whiskey was once produced at Hobbs by Barber, Ferriell, and Company. It is now produced by Jim Beam nearby at Clermont.
