Mousie, Kentucky

Mousie is a Knott county community northeast of Hindman on Jones Fork. It was named for Mousie Martin, daughter of the first postmaster.

The Mousie post office opened in 1916 near the mouth of Turtle Branch, closed in 1917, and opened again in the present location in 1918.
