Oscar, Kentucky

Oscar is a Ballard county community about 14 miles north of Wickliffe. It was named for Oscar Turner, who had extensive land in the area.

The Oscar post office opened in 1879 and closed in 1939.

About three miles northwest of Oscar is Turner Landing on the Ohio River.
