Redbush is a Johnson county community about 14 miles northeast of Paintsville on Upper Laurel Creek. The name is said to come from the color of the local pin oak trees in the fall. The name is also spelled Red Bush and the community may have also been known as Enterprise.

The Redbush post office opened in 1890 and closed in 1986.
