Springdale, Kentucky
Springdale was a Mason county town about four miles east of Maysville on the Ohio River at the mouth of Cabin Creek. The community was locally known as Cabin Creek and Deadfall. The town reached a population of about 100 and included a railroad station, hotel, and other businesses. The town was mostly deserted by the 1960s.
The site of the town and the surrounding land was purchased by a mining company in the 1970s and is now a limestone quarry.
The Springdale post office opened in 1865, was renamed Jenkins in 1883, renamed Springdale again the next month, and closed in 1964.
