Zachariah, Kentucky
Zachariah is a Lee county community about 11 miles north of Beattyville near the boundary with Wolfe county. It was named by its first postmaster, Zachariah Ponder.
The Zachariah post office opened in 1883 and closed, reopened, and moved several times before finally closing in 1996. The Zoe post office opened at the second Zachariah site in 1915.
