Dryhill was a Leslie county community about seven miles north of Hyden on the North Fork of the Kentucky River near the mouth of Bull Creek and across from the mouth of Cutshin Creek. The origin of the Dryhill name is not clear.

The Dryhill post office opened in 1897 and closed in 1964, with a Dryhill Rural Station operating until 1992.
