Holmes Mill, Kentucky
Holmes Mill is a Harlan county community on the Clover Fork of the Cumberland River about 18 miles east of Harlan. The area was settled in the early nineteenth century and became the site of coal mining by the early twentieth. The Holmes Mill post office opened in 1926 and closed in 2011.
