Johnsville, Kentucky

Johnsville is a Bracken county community about eight miles northwest of Brooksville. The area was originally known as Fairview, but was renamed Johnsville for John Riley, the postmaster, John Jackson, a resident, and Johnson Yelton, storekeeper.

Johnsville was incorporated in 1884, but was later dissolved.

The Johnsville post office opened in 1879 and closed in 1906.
