Ned, Kentucky

Ned is in Breathitt county on Lost Creek about 11 miles southeast of Jackson and near the boundary with Perry county. It is said to be named for Ned Turner, son-in-law of Jeremiah Combs, the first postmaster.

The Ned post office opened in 1886 and closed in 1984.
