Slabtown, Kentucky
Slabtown was a Henry county community on Sixmile Creek at Joes Branch about 10 miles east of New Castle. It was the site of a sawmill in the early twentieth century which gave it the name. A Carroll post office operated there intermittently from 1909 to 1923. The origin of that name is obscure.
