Cumminsville, Kentucky

Cumminsville is a Bracken county community about four miles northwest of Brooksville. The original name for the post office was Bladeston, probably for the local Blades family. Cumminsville probably come from the Cummins family. The post office was in the Brooksville and Wellsburg Railroad depot.

The Bladeston post office opened in 1884, moved a short distance and was renamed Cumminsville in 1901, and closed in 1933.
