Moreland, Kentucky
Moreland is a Lincoln county community about eight miles southwest of Stanford. It was named for Elliott Moreland who donated land for a railroad station circa 1878. A Minks post office, named for it's first postmaster, James Minks, opened in 1886. Later that year it moved to the railroad station and was renamed Moreland. It closed in 1975.
